Front Office Dental Coordinator

Job Description

Ideal Smiles of Stamford is seeking a warm, organized, and professional Front Desk Coordinator to be the welcoming face of our dental practice. This role is essential to ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing fluctuating schedules, and supporting both administrative and patient-facing tasks.

Responsibilities

Welcome and check in patients with professionalism and care.

Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient communications.

Verify insurance and process patient billing.

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Coordinate with clinical staff to optimize daily workflow.

Support Saturday coverage (fixed), while maintaining a 5-day workweek.

Assist with general office duties and contribute to a positive team culture.

Essential Skills

Bilingual in Spanish.

Minimum 1 year of customer service and dental terminology experience.

Authorized to work in the U.S.

Saturday availability.

Ability to manage a full schedule for 4 providers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with lab case coordination.

Familiarity with dental insurance plans and treatment plan presentation.

Prior experience in a high-volume dental office.

Detail-oriented multitasker.

Strong follow-up and appointment confirmation habits.

Comfortable with data entry and basic office operations.

The practice is led by Dr. the person, DDS, who values precision, warmth, and a collaborative approach to care. Team members enjoy a clean, modern office with digital systems and efficient workflows, a supportive culture that emphasizes respect, reliability, and open communication, a steady pace with some schedule fluctuation, requiring adaptability and teamwork, and a balanced schedule, including rotating Saturdays, with a consistent 5-day workweek. Office hours are Mon & Fri: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Tue-Thu: 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM, and Sat: 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
