Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Fort Worth, Texas. The ideal candidate will oversee key aspects of financial reporting, including depreciation expense management, account reconciliations, and monthly close processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently on multiple projects within the Capital Investment Accounting group. This is a 2-3 month contract position. Hybrid work schedule: 4 days per week onsite (Mon-Thurs) in Fort Worth, Texas.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the management of depreciation expenses and related balance sheet accounts during monthly and quarterly close and forecast cycles.

Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.

Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly close reports for leadership review.

Conduct impairment reviews and lead annual depreciation studies.

Analyze financial data to create forecasts and support budgeting processes.

Manage workflows related to depreciation and ensure timely completion of associated tasks.

Coordinate with the systems team to ensure proper organization and reporting of assets.

Develop and maintain financial spreadsheets, identifying opportunities for process improvements.

Generate monthly financial reports to support strategic decision-making.

Adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple projects effectively within the department.

Requirements - Proven experience in managing depreciation expenses and related financial processes.

Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Familiarity with month-end close procedures and general ledger management.

Expertise in preparing financial statements, account reconciliations, and journal entries.

Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis techniques.

Experience conducting annual depreciation studies and impairment reviews.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
