As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility to help to deter security-related incidents. You will also interact with individuals entering and exiting the premises, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles as required.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access-related inquiries and directions.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment within the manufacturing and industrial setting.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or policy violations to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns according to site procedures.
What We're Looking For:
Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
