Description

We are looking for an experienced Data Entry Clerk to join our team. This is position offers the opportunity to contribute to efficient financial operations. The ideal candidate will excel in managing invoices, processing payments promptly, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities:

Review and verify invoices for accuracy and proper authorization before processing.

Ensure timely payment of invoices through checks, wire transfers, or other approved methods.

Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts to confirm correct billing and avoid duplicate payments.

Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions for auditing and reporting purposes.

Prepare and execute regular check runs to support payment schedules.

Code invoices appropriately and ensure they align with company accounting protocols.

Communicate with vendors to address discrepancies or resolve payment issues.

Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency in payment processing.

Monitor accounts payable aging reports and follow up on overdue items.

Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related role.

Proficiency in invoice processing, coding, and payment scheduling.

Familiarity with check runs and wire transfer procedures.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.

Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
