Description

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Libertyville, Illinois. In this role, you will handle essential accounting tasks such as processing invoices, managing payments, and ensuring accurate financial records. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong grasp of accounts payable operations.

Responsibilities:

Review and verify invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Assign appropriate codes to invoices to ensure proper tracking and categorization.

Process payment runs, including check issuance and electronic transfers.

Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and ensure timely updates.

Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and address payment inquiries.

Ensure all accounts payable documentation is filed and organized for audit purposes.

Reconcile accounts payable statements and investigate variances.

Support month-end closing activities by preparing accurate financial reports.

Monitor and enforce adherence to payment schedules and deadlines.

Salary: $55,000-$65,000

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.

Proficiency in invoice coding and processing.

Familiarity with check runs and electronic payment processing.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.

Knowledge of accounting software and tools is preferred.
