Job Description:
The AMCB Summer Intern supports their Line of Business in the development and execution of work projects to support the Business' goals & objectives. The Summer Intern embodies TD's Shared Commitments and customer-focused culture.
Commercial Banking
TD Commercial Banking helps commercial customers manage their funds, finance their growth, and invest for the future by taking the time to understand their goals and customize products and services to suit their needs. This includes everything from governments, institutions and businesses, ranging from small "mom and pop" stores to multi-billion-dollar corporations.
Middle Market-Sponsor Backed Finance provides direct coverage to clients of the Commercial Bank and serves as the primary liaison for all TD Cowen & TD Securities Sponsor led referrals to the TDBNA Commercial Bank. This team directly engages in the advisory and development of new credit relationships, particularly large, visible and complex Sponsor-led transactions. The Team also serves as the lead contact for all primary and secondary loan participations within the syndicated, Pro-Rata bank market and provides strategic direction for managing new business development, growth and expansion of existing client relationships that are Sponsor led and/or Syndicated loan transactions.
This Commercial Banking Intern functions as a Sponsor Backed Finance Associate Intern to assist in evaluating sponsor finance opportunities to gain an understanding of the credit underwriting process. Engage in sponsor focused strategy exercises. Update marketing materials as needed. Manage deal tracker as opportunities are navigating the diligence process. Attend sponsor meetings/calls as necessary.
Commercial Banking is offering in-person internship opportunities in NYC. Interns will be required to be in-office 4 days a week.

Education & Experience:
Pursuing post secondary degree in business-related disciplines
Knowledge of Microsoft tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to take initiative and accountability of your actions
Demonstrated leadership qualities
Strong written and oral communications skills
Detail oriented with an ability to handle multiple tasks
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
You must be work authorized in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for employer sponsorship
Anticipated graduation between December 2026 - June 2027 preferred
