Position Description . The Warehouse Manager is a critical role for Baker Electric, Inc. a subsidiary of publicly traded EMCOR Group, Inc. The position will be responsible for managing warehouse operations, supervising warehouse personnel and delivery drivers, scheduling delivery routes, shipping, receiving, organizing warehouse, fulfilling orders and using/maintaining the warehouse management system.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Maintains receiving, shipping, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts, reconciling with data storage system.
Provides status reports pertaining to orders, shipments, and inventory levels.
Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
Ensures maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment when necessary.
Ensures strategic sourcing, forecasting, and proper lead time for material and equipment.
Maintains warehouse staff by selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Audits health, safety, and environmental requirements controlled within the warehouse operations.
Ensures compliance with the Safety Program, OSHA and provides for safe working environments for employees.
Collaborate effectively and professionally with both external (i.e. vendors) and internal (i.e. A/P) departments.
Escalates critical and/or sensitive issues to CFO with recommendation for resolution.
Complies with all Company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established.
Performs additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed by executives.

Preferred Education and Experience (Knowledge)
Five years management experience of warehouse operations.
Prior experience with shipping, receiving and inventory control.
Prior supervisory experience.
Working knowledge of supply chain in an engineering and/or construction project environment.
Knowledge of the construction industry, OSHA, and relevant safety practices.
Operating experience in procurement, safety, fleet, and pre-task planning.
Familiarization with bar-coding and process controls.
