DESCRIPTION OF WORK This is clerical work at the Parker Dam State Park Complex which involves varied, moderately complex work methods, problem solving, and direct service to the visiting public. Work normally involves the application of initiative and independent judgment, although decisions made are limited by established policies. Greets public by telephone and in person, as well as provides Park information, answers park-related questions and provides various other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2025 until November 2025 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately March 2026. Work hours are 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Friday - Tuesday, with a 30-minute lunch. Weekends and holidays will be required in order to satisfy operational requirements of Park Office. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly salary of $18.46. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
