DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Aide Trainee, you will deliver direct patient care using patient-centered approaches to mentally ill consumers; assist patients in all activities of daily living, including bathing, shampooing, oral hygiene, and eating; escort consumers to on- and off-grounds appointments; provide nursing care for consumers with risk of suicide; and respond to medical emergencies. You will also attend all trainings as directed, report all changes and incidents to the charge nurse, document changes and incidents in the consumers' chart, and act as a patient advocate so the rights of the consumers are protected.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment. Work hours: 1st shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM May change based on operational needs. Overtime and Travel: As needed FREE PARKING! Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position Salary: Most selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $37,660.00 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: No previous experience needed, training provided. Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
