Accounting Specialist

Description

Maintain and update financial records including journals, ledgers, and transaction logs using accounting software (e.g., Epicor). Handle accounts payable tasks such as invoice processing, general ledger coding, and matching with purchase orders. Manage accounts receivable duties including billing, tracking outstanding balances, and following up on collections. Conduct reconciliations for accounts, intercompany transactions, and prepare journal and balance sheet entries. Assist with bank statement reconciliation and support basic payroll data entry. Review and process employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance. Gather financial data to generate reports and summaries for internal use. Provide support during annual financial audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries. Organize and maintain financial records through data entry, document filing, and system updates. Investigate discrepancies in financial data and recommend corrective actions. Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phones, greeting visitors, handling mail, and other clerical duties. Ensure confidentiality of financial and organizational information. Collaborate across departments to support special projects and ad hoc assignments as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business related degree or equivalent work experience. 3 - 5 years' accounting experience; manufacturing accounting experience preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.42 - $28.63/hr.
