Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
The Accountant IV is a senior-level accounting professional within V2X, and is responsible for providing financial oversight, analysis, and support to a designated business unit within our organization. This role requires expertise in government contract accounting, cost accounting standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). You will lead complex accounting projects, ensure regulatory compliance, support audits, and serve as a subject matter expert to both finance and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and review complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, GAAP, and company policies and procedures.
Support DCAA audits and other external or third-part audits.
Review and ensure accuracy of incurred cost submissions (ICS).
Monitor and analyze project/job costing, indirect rate structures, and variance analysis.
Collaborate with Contracts, Program Management, and other departments to ensure financial integrity of federal contracts (CPFF, FFP, T&M, etc.)
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants and analysts on compliance, controls, and financial stewardship.
Lead initiatives to improve financial processes, systems and internal controls.
May be tasked to provide inputs in assisting with the development of an annual budgets.
Assist in other finance special projects or functions as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained may be substituted.
Certification/Licenses:
CPA obtained or in progress, active status preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of ten (10) years' progressive accounting experience, including two (2) years in a senior capacity.
Experience supporting high-revenue, multi-entity segments ($500M+), with complex cost structures.
ERP proficiency in large-scale financial environments.
Other Requirements:
United States citizenship.
May work extended hours.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience:
Experience in federal government contracting environment, including multiple contract @types (CPFF, T&M, FFP) desired.
Expertise in FAR, CAS, and DCAA/DCMA audit protocols preferred.
Systems experience with IFS, Kyriba, SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA a plus.

Financial/Business Acumen:
Comprehensive technical knowledge of GAAP requirements, government financial performance, operational accounting, and SOX compliance.
Thorough understanding of how accounting drives contract performance, profitability, and long-term growth.
Proven track record managing and supporting audits in a regulatory-heavy environment.
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
Ability to maintain strict compliance with V2X policies and procedures relating to our Business Ethics and Code of Conduct, in addition to specific procurement regulations established by the federal government.
Demonstrates the highest degree of safeguarding confidential, sensitive, business, and employee data.

Microsoft Office 365 suite, including SharePoint
Proficient in the use of computer software programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and advanced knowledge of Excel.
Technology:
Company computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.

The successful candidate's starting pay will be based on, but not limited to, their job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.
USD $ 90,000 - 140,000
Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
