Job Title: Construction Safety Manager Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Safety Manager to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers at our construction site in Johnstown, Ohio. This role requires a motivated individual who can implement safety measures, improve production methods, and ensure product quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Implement measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.

Review operations and collaborate with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing issues.

Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems to detect production problems.

Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff and address personal grievances.

Set and monitor product standards to ensure high-quality finished products.

Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.

Essential Skills

Strong verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and techniques for effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Proficiency in machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance.

Familiarity with design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.

8-10 years of experience in construction safety, safety training, and safety management.

Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification preferred.

Experience in various construction site roles and depth in safety across multiple trades.

Ability to work well in a team and credibly represent our clients.

Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite at a construction site in Johnstown, Ohio, with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The role requires a commitment to ensuring the highest safety standards while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Johnstown, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $78.00 - $88.00/hr.
