JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Group Exercise Operations is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of Group X programs, events, and initiatives across all clubs. This role drives operational excellence, ensures consistency in programming, and partners with cross-functional teams to enhance member experience, retention, and overall efficiency. The Senior Manager will oversee large-scale projects, manage vendor partnerships, and ensure alignment with company goals and brand standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

Oversee daily operations of Group X programming across all clubs.

Partner with District Leaders to develop and maintain staffing plans and ensure General Manager execution at the club level.

Ensure consistent execution of Group X schedules, standards, and experiences system-wide.

Design, implement, and manage training, certification, and development programs for instructors.

Support the testing, evaluation, and launch of new programs, pilots, and products.

Manage fitness partnership relationships (e.g., Zumba, Les Mills), including contract compliance tracking.

Plan and execute national and regional events to increase awareness, retention, and engagement.

Collaborate with Marketing on communications, campaigns, and social media content.

Lead and coordinate multiple projects, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Monitor program budgets, track ROI, and provide insights to support partnership renewals.

Manage large-scale communication across districts to ensure program clarity and alignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

3--5 years of experience in group fitness instruction and management.

Demonstrated leadership in managing multi-site teams and delivering consistent program quality.

Strong background in programming, operations, training, or related fields.

Proven ability to manage budgets and optimize group exercise labor models.

Familiarity with vendor/partner management and contract compliance.

Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities across all levels of the organization.

Ability to leverage data, feedback, and insights to drive continuous improvement.

Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions

Must be able to sit and work on a computer for extended periods of time.

Must be able to work extended hours on occasion.

Regularly required to work standard office equipment (personal computer, copy machine, fax machine, etc.)

Travel Requirement

Potential travel requirements to club, regional and corporate offices up to 25% of time

Benefits Summary

24 Hour Fitness offers benefit programs designed to meet the diverse needs of all team members, including health coverage, as well as Company paid benefits that are automatically provided at no cost, such as group life and accident insurance. There are eligibility requirements for each plan based on your position, hire and/or service date and your average hours worked. Benefit eligible team members may also accrue vacation hours. All 24 Hour Team members, and their eligible dependents, receive a complimentary membership.

Compensation Summary

All Employees: Free Club Membership, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Basic Group Live and AD&D Insurance ($10,000), and 401k Savings and Investment Plan.

Average of 30 hours or more per week: Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits, Paid Time Off, and Sickness Benefits (in addition to the above).

Washington State : Receive 40 hours of sick time on your first day of employment. After 6 months of employment, accrue 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 120 hours, inclusive of time carried over.

Actual offer may vary from posted hiring range based on location, work experience, and/or education.

Salary range will vary based on geography of the applicant. Pay Range for Los Angeles, Orange County and Seattle: $112,125.00-$151,398.00 (Exempt), $53.91-$72.79 (Non-Exempt) Pay Range for Bay Area (California) & New York City (incl. New Jersey): $117,000.00-$157,980.00 (Exempt), $56.25-$75.95 (Non-Exempt) Pay Range for San Diego & Carlsbad (California) and all other locations: $105,300.00-$142,182.00 (Exempt), $50.63-$68.36 (Non-Exempt)
