Responsibilities
Ascension Providence is looking for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for our Sleep Clinic.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide medical services to patients at Ascension Medical Group Providence Sleep Clinic located in Waco, TX
Position Highlights:
Monday - Friday outpatient clinic
busy practice with a Board Certified Sleep Medicine physician lead
large primary care referral base
Responsibilities:
Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.
Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.

Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Physician Assistant Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience:
1 year of experience preferred.
