Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a short-term contract basis in Santa Monica, California. In this role, you will assist with reconciling American Express transactions in QuickBooks Online, ensuring accuracy and proper categorization of expenses. This is a contract position expected to last approximately one week.

Responsibilities:

Enter and upload outstanding American Express transactions into QuickBooks Online for the current year.

Categorize transactions accurately to appropriate general ledger expense accounts.

Tag transactions with the correct credit card holder name across 23 cardholders.

Reconcile a backlog of approximately $600,000 in transactions.

Work closely with the finance team to ensure timely completion of reconciliations.

Maintain consistency and precision in expense categorization.

Support the team in resolving discrepancies and ensuring data integrity. Requirements - Proven experience with QuickBooks Online.

Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling large volumes of transactions.

Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency.

Familiarity with accounts payable processes and general ledger accounting.

Proficiency in data entry and expense account categorization.

Effective organizational and time management skills.

Previous experience in contract or project-based roles is a plus.
