Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Hollywood, California. In this role, you will handle crucial financial tasks to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with expertise in accounts payable to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Process and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper coding and documentation.

Manage accounts payable transactions, including ACH payments and check runs.

Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.

Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper account coding and expense tracking.

Monitor payment schedules and prioritize urgent payments as needed.

Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

Generate reports and provide analysis on accounts payable activities.

Communicate effectively with vendors to address payment inquiries and issues. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

Strong knowledge of invoice coding and payment processing, including ACH and check runs.

Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Solid communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
