Job Title: A&P Mechanic

$50-$60/hr (Base rate plus weekly per-diem)

Job Description

The A&P Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and performing maintenance on customer aircraft. This role requires documenting all work performed in accordance with the appropriate manuals and regulations.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, install, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.

Document all work performed as per the appropriate manuals and regulations.

Operate ground support equipment as required.

Perform mechanical and electrical removals and installations.

Assist with fueling and de-fueling of aircraft as needed.

Assist with engine removal and installation as needed.

Assist with aircraft component repair as needed.

Essential Skills

A&P license

At least 4-5 years of experience working on aircraft, or 1-2 years working on corporate jets.

Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.

Effective communication skills in both written and verbal form.

Ownership of a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory and control.

Ability to work unscheduled overtime including non-scheduled workdays and holidays.

Ability to work in seasonal or inclement weather.

Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge if applicable.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience on corporate jet aircraft, military fixed-wing, or commercial aircraft is preferred.

Basic PC skills are preferred.

Ability to obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor Locks, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $51.00/hr.
