The Clinical Therapist collaborates with various team members and external partners to design, implement and evaluate strategies to provide comprehensive clinical support to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness throughout Community Based Services residential programs. In order to be successful in this role, the Clinical Therapist develops professional relationships based on trust with these stakeholders and the individuals entrusted in our care to ensure that the individuals we serve receive the highest quality care, with treatment plans focused on enhancing the individual's independence.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Developing, implementing, documenting and evaluation formal and informal action plans or strategies that support individual treatment plans.
Utilizing comprehensive assessment and standardized tools to ensure that individuals have the resources needed to reach their program goals.
Providing direct care to individuals, documenting changes in mental health symptoms, responding to emergency situations and other activities which provide overall support to meet the individual's personal and health care needs.
Providing indirect support and care coordination to assure continued community and individual safety which includes participation in treatment plan meetings, making referrals for specialized services and ensuring that the individual attends meetings essential to their success.
Supporting an environment which is safe, drug free and therapeutic by identifying individual vulnerabilities, administering drug screenings and serving as a conduit between the individual and the interdisciplinary team.
Assisting individuals with performing household management tasks that support a safe and clean home living environment.
Minimum Qualifications
To qualify, applicants must:
Possess and maintain a valid drivers license.
2 years of combined experience in at least 4 of the 6 activities listed below:
Providing direct care and therapeutic support to individuals
Assisting with assessment of behavior health challenges including data collection
Experience leading and/or facilitating educational groups or therapeutic activities with individuals with mental health symptoms
Experience developing or implementing support plans or treatment plans that addresses behavior through adaptations, activities, interventions, education, engagement, and support
Assisting in planning and hand-off communication of support plans and strategies for supporting individuals upon discharge
Developing/assisting in development of behavioral interventions and recommendations for interdisciplinary staff implementation
1 year of relevant experience requirement may be substituted by a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or behavior analysis; the experience requirement also may be substituted by a bachelor's degree in human services or a related behavioral health field that includes substantial behavioral health coursework such as: individual or group counseling, clinical interviewing, clinical assessment, crisis intervention, or similar behavioral health courses.

Three (3) years or more of post-bachelor's degree experience providing supports to adults living with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness and Substance Use Disorders
Experience working with adults on commitment orders
