Job Description
The Treasury Division-Finance Department is actively seeking a Manager-Treasury Accounting.

This position reports to the Sr. Manager - Treasury Administration and is responsible for leading major Treasury initiatives and assisting in the oversight and performance and monitoring of all Treasury operations, accounting activities, and internal controls. Primary responsibilities include the following:
Lead responsibility for developing, reviewing, and continuously improving policies and mission critical procedures for all Treasury operations to ensure the department has proper controls in place and is operating in an efficient manner.
Manages major Treasury operational projects and initiatives that require cross-functional collaboration with other departments to ensure sound implementations with consideration for the needs of all internal and external stakeholders.
Development and review of all ad hoc, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries to ensure proper accounting for cash, debt, investments, and pensions including related reconciliations.
Researches, analyzes, interprets, and applies laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines governing accounting activities as they apply to the Treasury organization and the City.
Reviews, monitors, reconciles, and reports on Treasury and Pension funds.
Assists in the Treasury Division's contribution to development of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, including the preparation of schedules, assignment of requests and initial review of work submissions by Treasury staff. Coordinates with the Comptroller's office or other City organizations, as necessary.
Serves as subject matter expert for Treasury operational and accounting systems.
Actively seeks out new technologies or services to achieve cost savings and/or improve Treasury operations - acting as a champion for process improvement.
Schedules, assigns, reviews, and evaluates the work of assigned staff.
Communicates clear direction, manages for results and leads organizational change.
Assigns responsibility, takes corrective action, demonstrates leadership in evaluating, developing and motivating employees.
Performs other duties as assigned.

A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required, with a major in accounting preferred.
At least four (4) years of professional experience in treasury of finance is preferred.
Certified Public Accounting designation is preferred.
