Medical Assistant

Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support physicians and clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced primary care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and room patients, take vital signs, and document medical histories.

Prepare patients for examinations and assist with procedures.

Administer injections, perform EKGs, and collect specimens for lab testing.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system.

Coordinate referrals, follow-up appointments, and patient education.

Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use.

Support front office tasks as needed, including scheduling and phone triage.

Uphold infection control and HIPAA compliance standards.

Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) preferred.

CPR/BLS certification required.

Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Proficiency in EMR systems and basic computer applications.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
