If so, we're looking for you to join our team as an Accounts Payable Specialist, where you'll help keep things running smoothly in a dynamic and growing workplace!

What You'll Be Doing:

Invoice Processing:

Review and enter vendor invoices into the system with accuracy.

Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents (we'll teach you 3-way matching if you're not familiar-that's easy to learn).

Begin with freight AP-matching quotes to invoices, reconciling discrepancies, and entering them into the system and spreadsheets.

Payments Processing:

Assist with preparing and completing check runs, ACH, and wire payments.

Contribute to daily check runs due to the high volume of transactions.

Issue Resolution:

Collaborate with teams like purchasing, operations, and receiving to resolve discrepancies efficiently.

Help reconcile vendor statements and respond to inquiries.

Month-End Support:

Assist with month-end close by creating invoices in AP for commission payouts by the 4th-5th business day of the month.

Handle other month-end activities as needed.

Administrative Duties:

Maintain organized and accurate AP records.

Perform general administrative support for the AP team and assist with expense reports and operational expenses.

Requirements

What You'll Bring to the Table:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic accounting principles.

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Experience working in a high-volume environment (e.g., ~800 invoices a month, with ~200/week in freight transactions).

Detail-oriented and organized with an ability to manage time and meet deadlines.

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

A team-oriented attitude and professionalism in all business interactions.
