Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Gravette, Arkansas. In this role, you will handle critical financial tasks such as invoice processing, payment management, and account reconciliation. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position, offering the opportunity to grow within our organization while contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Process and verify incoming invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate data entry using QuickBooks.

Schedule and issue vendor payments promptly, leveraging QuickBooks to track and reconcile transactions.

Maintain detailed records of expenses, monitor account balances, and generate comprehensive financial reports.

Build and sustain strong relationships with vendors by addressing billing discrepancies, clarifying payment details, and resolving inquiries.

Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure ledger accuracy and up-to-date financial records.

Ensure timely coding of invoices and manage high volumes of accounts payable transactions efficiently.

Conduct regular check runs to streamline payment processes and maintain vendor satisfaction.

Collaborate with internal teams to improve invoice processing workflows and maintain compliance with accounting standards. Requirements - Proficiency in QuickBooks, specifically in accounts payable functionalities.

Strong organizational skills to handle high transaction volumes with efficiency.

Excellent attention to detail for accurate invoice processing and payment management.

Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

Effective communication skills to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.

High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting or business administration is preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable, with a preference for candidates experienced in QuickBooks.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
