Job Summary
-The Regional Warehouse Manager is responsible for the supervision of bargaining and non-bargaining unit storekeeper personnel
-The position is expected manage the day to day operational activities and effectiveness of the warehouse for the Comanche Peak site
-The position will be responsible for the inventory replenishment process for CP
-The position is expected to direct team activities in support of Operational objectives through inventory optimization, productivity improvement, and risk management
Job Description
Key Accountabilities
-Direct the materials management, inventory controls, and warehousing functions to optimize reliability and working capital
-Lead and manage staff located on site
-Implement materials standards and process expertise on cross-functional teams, including input to sourcing strategies
-Develop fleet-level and site-based stocking/ordering plans to optimize working capital while maintaining operational standards
-Ensure a standard approach for ordering, accounting, issuing, and controlling parts to ensure activities are accomplished in the most efficient and cost-effective manner
-Collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders, including site leadership
-Support and promote Luminant's supplier diversity program
-Conduct routine self-assessments of warehouse activities by conducting benchmarking surveys of "best in class," and by reviewing reports, statistics, work status, warehouse surveillances, and client surveys, to ensure perpetual improvement in excellence, procedure compliance, a high level of productivity, client satisfaction, and corrective action of any negative trends.
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
-Minimum 5-10 years of relevant leadership and management experience with materials management & warehousing
-Strong business acumen, excellent analytical skills, and strong knowledge of Maximo required for daily work
-Must have sound knowledge of the following regulatory requirements, company policies, and procedures for daily implementation of job functions: 10CFR50 Appendix B, 49CFR172, ANSI Standard N45.2.2, Reg. Guide 1.38, Rev. 1, Vistra Policy Manual, Nuclear Management Guidelines, Nuclear Production Policy Statements, Warehouse Procedures, Nuclear Procurement Services Procedures, selected CPSES Station Procedures, IBEW Agreement, and the CPSES Safety Manual. Additionally, this position must have some working knowledge of numerous computer databases for daily operations.
Key Metrics
-Supports the CP plant and the nuclear requirements for the safe operation of the facility
-Manages direct headcount of 15 with a significantly increased headcount for outage support
-Optimize working capital while meeting site operational standards
?-Manage nuclear inventory (approx. $95M)
-Coordinate internal process and materials/inventory audits
-Drive value creation and cost savings vs. approved baselines
-Support and promote Luminant's supplier diversity program
