Job Description
The Chemical Safety Management Intern will support our chemical safety and compliance efforts within the Environmental, Health and Safety department at the Millsboro, DE Site. This internship offers hands-on experience in chemical inventory management, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional program analysis including process safety management, incident investigation, and emergency planning. The ideal candidate will assist in updating and maintaining our chemical inventory to meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements, ensure the accuracy of our Safety Data Sheet (SDS) database, and help identify correlations between chemical management and other programs such as wastewater treatment, medical surveillance, and peroxide handling.
Required Experience and Skills
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related technical field.
Completed at least 2 years of college course work
Able to work full time for a period of 9-12 weeks
Critical thinking, communication, problem-solving and computer skills
Ability to receive verbal or written direction and implement corresponding changes
Ability to think critically about process inefficiencies and propose solutions
Preferred Experience and Skills
Prior internship or work experience in the Environmental, Health, and Safety field or in chemical manufacturing.
Ability to convey ideas and explain decisions in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to work in a small team

Salary range:
The salary range for this role is $39,600.00-$105,500.00 USD

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
