We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Assistant to join our team in Madison, Alabama. In this part-time contract role, you will play a key part in supporting our accounting processes, ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflows. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate to gain valuable experience in a detail-oriented setting.

This position offers a flexible part time schedule of three days per week. The part time Accounting Assistant will work a total of 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.

Accurately code invoices and ensure compliance with company policies.

Handle commercial collections by communicating with clients and resolving payment issues. Maximum 20-30 calls per day.

Assist with generating and managing purchase orders to support business operations.

Utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Outlook, and Excel to maintain and update financial records.

Perform automated billing tasks to streamline invoice processing.

Provide administrative support to the team, including organizing documents and managing correspondence.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.

Maintain a casual yet detail-oriented demeanor in line with the company's culture.

Uphold confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive financial information.

Requirements - Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Familiarity with coding invoices and managing purchase orders.

Experience with collections in a commercial setting is a plus.

Competency in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Outlook, and Excel.

Strong organizational and administrative skills.

Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
