Technical Directions Inc. (TDI), a Business Unit within the Kratos Unmanned Systems Division, specializes in small, low-cost turbojet engine systems. TDI has assembled a team of subject matter experts in various disciplines capable of addressing all aspects related to small turbine engines. This strategy allows TDI to have the engineering depth typical of a much larger entity, while retaining the low-cost attributes and agile response found only in a small company. TDI's experience encompasses all aspects of turbine engines, from clean-sheet design, through performance testing, vehicle integration, flight testing, and production manufacturing. The TDI team is growing rapidly as demand for small engines continues to increase.
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
As an administrative assistant / receptionist has an essential role in supporting the Technical Directions team and ensuring smooth operations across various departments. That requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to make a meaningful impact. Instrumental in maintaining a professional and welcoming front desk environment while supporting administrative operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Greet clients, visitors, and staff with a professional and courteous demeanor and managing check-ins with efficiency.
Manage daily administrative tasks, including answering phones, scheduling, and organizing documents.
Coordinate team meetings and events and prepare agendas.
Assist in project management by tracking deadlines and facilitating communication as needed.
Handle expense reporting, invoicing, and basic accounting tasks.
Liaise with vendors and clients, providing excellent customer service.
Coordinating conference room bookings and ensuring meeting spaces are prepared for use.
Maintaining a clean and organized reception area, which reflects the company's commitment to high standards.
Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and preparing documents or reports for meetings.
Monitoring and ordering office supplies in collaboration with the procurement team.
Supporting the HR and Operations departments by onboarding new hires.
Adhering to security protocols by managing visitor logs, issuing access badges, and monitoring building entry procedures.
Handling mail and deliveries, including sorting, distributing, and scheduling courier pickups as needed.
Complete various tasks as necessary.

Required Experience:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.)
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Certification or Associate's / Bachelor's degree preferred.
2 years of proven experience as an administrative assistant or similar role.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primarily office environment: desk, telephone/headset, keyboard/mouse use, and one-on-one interactions with department personnel.
Routine sitting and using computer/telephone/copier equipment
Some walking and reaching.
Ability to produce accurate analysis and use good judgment in conducting responsibilities.
May be required to lift up to 25 pounds in accordance with safety training guidelines.
