Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Associate or Vice President to join our Securities Finance team, with a focus on U.S. Treasuries, MBS collateral, and broader firm financing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting daily trading desk activities, including P&L management, client inquiries, and optimization of firm financing. This is a high-impact, hands-on role with strong potential to grow into managing your own trading matchbook.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the day-to-day operations of the Repo and Securities Lending desk, including trade capture, reconciliation, and P&L attribution.
Manage and respond to internal and external client inquiries, providing high-touch service and operational accuracy.
Assist with the firm's global financing and balance sheet optimization strategies.
Monitor and report on liquidity risk, balance sheet limits, and regulatory constraints.
Analyze large data sets to identify inefficiencies and trading opportunities using Excel and programming tools.
Collaborate with traders, sales, risk, operations, and technology teams to improve workflows and build scalable desk solutions.
Develop a deep understanding of the firm's collateral base, market liquidity, and repo/MBS market dynamics.
Work toward earning the responsibility of managing a trading book over time.
Qualifications:
3-8 years of experience in a securities finance, repo, or secured funding environment (buy-side or sell-side).
Strong product knowledge in U.S. Treasuries and mortgage-backed securities (MBS) is required.
Exposure to credit or equity financing is a strong plus.
Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, macros); Python, VBA, or SQL programming is a strong plus.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage time-sensitive and high-volume tasks accurately.
Deep understanding of liquidity risk, balance sheet limits, and funding market mechanics.
Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to take ownership and grow within the role.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a hunger to learn new products and trading strategies in a dynamic environment.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $150K - $230K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
