Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Fort Myers, Florida. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in supporting our accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily bookkeeping tasks. This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about accounting and eager to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Process and record accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions with accuracy.

Prepare and issue customer invoices in a timely manner.

Follow up on past-due accounts and assist with collections.

Organize and maintain accounting records and reports for easy access.

Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and within deadlines.

Promote a safe and clean workspace by adhering to company policies and procedures.

Utilize resources efficiently to achieve job objectives while minimizing waste.

Collaborate with the team to meet shared accounting goals and contribute to overall success. Requirements - Proficiency in accounting software systems and ERP platforms.

Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

Familiarity with general ledger functions and bank reconciliations.

Experience with auditing and purchase order management.

Competence in using Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis.

Ability to handle check runs and annual physical inventory tasks.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
