Description

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team at a growing organization in The Dalles, Oregon. This 100% on-site Contract to permanent role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations while supporting governmental accounting standards. Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Assist with the management of federal and government grant processes, including reporting and compliance.

Conduct variance analyses to identify discrepancies and suggest corrective actions.

Assist with audit preparation by organizing financial documents and supporting schedules.

Generate financial reports and statements in accordance with organizational requirements.

Oversee month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Collaborate with team members to prepare detailed financial statements.

Requirements

Proven experience in journal entries and general ledger maintenance.

Familiarity with government accounting processes and reporting.

Strong knowledge of variance analysis and audit preparation.

Ability to prepare financial reports and statements accurately.

Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation.

Proficiency in ERP systems.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
