Job Purpose Summary
The Manager - Warehouse & Distribution oversees all warehouse, distribution, and shipping operations at Corza Medical's Chula Vista, CA facility, supporting global shipments of Corza's products. This leader manages a team of approximately 25 employees and ensures accurate, compliant, and efficient product flow to customers worldwide. The role requires a strong understanding of supply chain and logistics, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to drive operational excellence and data-driven decision-making. The site leader will partner cross-functionally with key internal teams to optimize service, cost, and inventory performance in alignment with Corza Medical's business objectives.
What you will do
Act as site leader for the Chula Vista warehouse, aligning operations with company priorities and communicating risks, opportunities, and progress to senior leadership and key partners.
Manage day-to-day warehouse and distribution activities, including receiving, inventory control, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders in compliance with quality and regulatory standards, while maintaining service-level commitments.
Resolve operational issues, including customer complaints, shipping delays, and inventory discrepancies.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with company policies.
Manage, coach, and develop a team of 25-30 warehouse employees, high-performing, fostering an engaged and safety-focused team culture.
Drive accountability and clear performance expectations at all levels.
Partner with Supply Chain, Planning, and Customer Service to ensure seamless end-to-end product flow.
Manage inbound and outbound logistics, work with global carriers, freight forwarders, and customs partners. Support global distribution and international trade compliance requirements.
Control operational costs, including labor, transportation, and overhead, while meeting budget objectives.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse productivity, cost-effectiveness, inventory accuracy, and service levels.
Use KPIs and data analytics to monitor performance, identify trends, and guide operational decision-making.
Lead process optimization and lean initiatives to improve operational metrics.
Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, GMP, and internal quality standards.
Promote and maintain a culture of quality, accuracy, and regulatory adherence.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for operational or compliance issues.
Drive proactive risk management and maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
What you will need
7+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations.
Experience managing mid-size warehouse teams (20+ employees), with demonstrated success in leadership, performance management, and team development.
Strong knowledge of warehouse management, inventory control, shipping/logistics, and global distribution.
Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or healthcare products (preferred).
Proficiency with ERP systems and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement (Lean or Six Sigma).
Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making ability.
Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Knowledge of quality standards and regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, GMP).

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a warehouse environment.
Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.,10lbs. frequently for a distance of 15ft.
Consistent use of arms and occasional walking, bending, twisting and lifting for short periods of time throughout shift.

Corza Medical offers a competitive benefits package including medical, 401K, vacation and sick time, paternal leave and other benefits.
A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000/annual, depending on experience level. Further, pay is offered based on geographic location, internal equity, market data, applicant's job-related skills, commensurate experience, required licensures, certifications, and certain degrees.
