Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Join a manufacturing company in Shoreview as a maintenance technician for the 3rd shift team. This role involves working from 7PM to 7AM on Sundays, and from 11PM to 7AM through Friday morning. The position entails approximately 44 hours per week and includes one weekend per month as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform routine servicing tasks such as applying lubricants, checking alignment, calibrating instruments, and monitoring equipment for unusual sounds, vibrations, or performance issues.

Troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical systems, including motors, power heads, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), particularly in 480V environments.

Address urgent equipment failures to minimize downtime, including repairs on large-scale finishing machines and conveyor systems.

Conduct inspections and testing as part of preventive maintenance programs, ensuring optimal function of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam-powered systems.

Take on specialized projects, such as maintenance and repair of boiler systems.

Use diagnostic tools and precision instruments to assess system performance and ensure accurate calibrations.

Support a safe and productive workplace by following best practices and promoting operational efficiency.

Essential Skills

Special Boilers License (Required)

3+ years of electrical/mechanical maintenance experience (Required)

PLC experience (Required)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2B Boilers License (Preferred)

Work Environment

Work in an industrial manufacturing environment with a team of 120 employees. The maintenance team consists of 11 professionals, with 2 members on the 2nd shift and 2 on the 3rd shift.

This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67496.00 - $77272.00/yr.

UNION Will pay for schooling to help increase certifications, goal to get everyone a Chief-level boilers

Current maintenance manager was a maintenance tech and promoted to this facility. 134 plants nationally. One of their maintenance techs relocated and was able to take a lateral move to their Florida plant.
