Where you'll Work: ?

This Internship will be working with the Financial Analysis department where you will be responsible for owning one or more projects assigned to you at the beginning of the week.? Some departmental tasks can include assisting with pricing guarantees, rebates, contracts, client payments, etc. During summer your internship, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate within your department and across the business- and learn from some of our brightest and most innovative employees in your area of focus.?

Gain valuable knowledge on the client operations area of finance

Conduct research, related to your assigned project(s)?

Perform data analysis and reporting?

Collaborate cross-functionally to advance your assigned project(s)?

Community: ?Build relationships with our?business?partners, team members and other interns.??

Leader Speaker Series: ?You and your fellow interns will be exposed to a variety of?sessions?and presentations given by members of the Cigna community.?

What you need to do the job: ?

Ideal candidates will be progressing toward a bachelor's degree, and have completed 3?years in desired majors including?Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Data Analytics or related fields.?

3.0?GPA or higher is preferred?

Intermediate MS Excel functions

SQL knowledge is preferred

Teradata and data mining knowledge is a plus?

SharePoint knowledge is a plus

Must have financial reporting or data analysis experience (projects, coursework, internships, etc.)?

Excellent verbal and written communication skills?

Strong business aptitude and problem-solving skills?

Being a self-starter who is eager to learn and acquire new skills?

Additional Information:

Location: In-Person in St Louis, MO. Intern will be expected to work in-person from the St Louis office location 3 days a week (T, W, TH) with flexibility to work at home for balance of time. The internship is paid, and housing assistance is not offered.?

Schedule: ?You must be available to work a 40-hour work week for 10 weeks?in?summer 2025, beginning May 18, 2026. ??

Market Range : For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of $23-$24/hr depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

Work Authorization: One goal of this internship program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for roles with Cigna post-graduation. Therefore, this temporary internship is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa support including H-1B, CPT/OPT/STEM, etc., now or in the future.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
