What you'll do...
As Senior Manager, Energy Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Walmart's energy strategy. In this position, you will enable energy solutions that advance our goals of: (i) ensuring energy security and affordability, (ii) building new clean energy businesses, and (iii) accelerating emissions reductions. You will address critical energy "ACRE" risks (access, cost, resiliency, and emissions) across our operations and build, launch, and scale new initiatives to serve our customers, members, associates, and suppliers.
We are a team of seasoned energy veterans dedicated to realizing Walmart's regenerative commitments and leveraging Walmart's platform to support the decarbonization of our customers, associates, communities, and suppliers.? Because energy touches everything, we work across Walmart, particularly real estate, facilities, supply chain, network design, transportation and customer experience. We have come from across Walmart, utilities, developers, banking, clean energy consulting and environmental NGOs.?We are innovators and change agents determined to make an impact.? We are analytical and entrepreneurial; thoughtful and practical. Our team works cross-functionally with business leaders, external partners, and policy makers to deliver innovative energy solutions that strengthen Walmart's operations and support our regenerative commitments and leading progress towards our clean energy and emissions reductions targets.
Success in this role requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. You will report to the Senior Director, Energy Strategy & Partnerships. This position is based in Bentonville, Arkansas; remote candidates will not be considered at this time.
What you'll do...
Develop and execute strategies to advance our goals of (i) ensuring energy security and affordability, (ii) building new clean energy businesses, and (iii) accelerating emissions reductions.
Address energy "ACRE" risks - Access, Cost, Resiliency, and Emissions - across Walmart's operations and communities.
Structure, negotiate, and manage external partnership opportunities in support of our goals.
Support the capital approval and deployment process across our Energy businesses and investments.
Design and implement value-driven strategies to achieve decarbonization targets within defined timelines.
Foster a culture of integrity, inclusion, and continuous learning.
Build and maintain strong relationships with renewable energy developers and OEMs, industry partners, and technology providers.
Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and maintain frameworks and processes for tracking progress on our energy objectives.
Develop financial models, presentations, white papers, and analysis to be presented to Walmart leadership.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
