Each year, the University\'s presence generates almost 9,000 additional jobs and more than \$250 million in labor income for the area.\ \ Are you enthusiastic about delivering top-notch customer service to patients in a friendly and professional dental clinic?\ \ The SIU School of Dental Medicine in Alton, IL seeks full-time qualified Dental Clinic Clerk II candidates to support phone calls, prepare & maintain electronic patient charts, and assist faculty in providing effective and efficient patient care at the School of Dental Medicine.\ \ The SIU School of Dental Medicine provides a range of treatments, cutting-edge dental therapy, and individualized care in a modern and relaxed setting.\ \ What You Will Do\

Answers, screens, and routes telephone inquiries from patients to

handle messages, transfer calls or locates party via public address system

Assist Team Leaders in ensuring that all patients are actively being

treated, transferred, placed on recall or inactivated by performing computer entries as directed

Schedule emergency, screening, consult appointments for student,

faculty, residents, and patients

Provides, relays, and retrieves information to assist students,

dentists, Team Leaders and faculty for patient management

Utilizes clinical information system, kiosks, reports, and databases

needed to manage patient care, student, faculty, and clinical needs

Prepare, maintain, control distribution, retrieve, and file

electronic patient charts

FLSA: Non-Exempt\ \ Minimum Acceptable Qualifications\ \ Minimum Acceptable Qualifications\

High school graduation or equivalent

One year (12 months) of experience:

Comparable to that performed at the Dental Clinic Clerk I

() level of this series

OR\

Certified Dental Assistant in a dental clinic facility, program, or

in dentistry practice, if required by employing institution
