The Department of Admissions is seeking a dynamic Admission Coordinator to join their team. Under the supervision of the Associate Director, the Admissions Counselor will act as the primary processor for applications, including updating application checklists, entering decisions, and providing ongoing application updates to applicants and program leaders. The Admissions Counselor will audit and evaluate applicant files, generate weekly communications to applicants, and will serve as the initial point of contact for internal program managers/directors. The Admissions Counselor advises prospective and current applicants on application requirements and process using phone, email, and live chat systems.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION : Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university. Experience: 1-2 years of related experience.
Must @type 45 WPM . Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to stand extended periods of time at recruitment fairs, and will be required to lift and carry supplies and set up displays. Must be comfortable interacting with stakeholders at every level of the organization (students, faculty, staff, alumni, leadership).
Must possess a high level of customer service, preferably in a higher education environment.
Ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously with competing deadlines in an effective manner.
Knowledge of general office filing and travel procedures.
Position requires general clerical skills, basic word processing, and data entry.
Good organizational skills.
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively and professionally with faculty, staff, vendors, and the general public.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in Registrar Office or Student Affairs Office
is preferred.
Working knowledge and experience using Ellucian Banner Student System, American Medical College Application Service ( AMCAS ), CollegeNET, or any other related Student Information System.
Prior recruitment experience.

Essential Job Functions
· Assist with the annual screening of applications. Analyze transcripts to assess whether prerequisites have been met. Verify letters of recommendation as needed.
· Meet with prospective students and advise on application requirements
· Answer phones and emails in rotation with the Admissions Counselor team.
· Coordinate, schedule, and conduct campus tours in rotation with the Admissions Counselor team.
· Attend and assist with all Admissions events to include, but not limited to: New Student Orientations, Annual Admissions Committee Workshops, Open Houses, and Recruitment Fairs. Also attend and assist with Student Affairs events, including, but not limited to: Commencement, Convocation, Match Day, Class Day, and Student Town Hall meetings.
· Assist with the coordination and/or support of: weekly interview days, committee meetings, workshops, campus tours, online recruitment forums, event announcements, monthly communications, and student ambassador events.
· Provide direct support and assistance to the interview day host, as assigned. Maintain interview schedule.
· Maintain student files to forward to the Registrar and ensure that files comply with institution and government requirements.
· Correspond and develop rapport with prospective students, health advisors, external vendors, and professional organizations
· Participate in local and national travel for recruitment to include in and out-of-state public & private colleges/universities, graduate health fairs, and national conferences. Maintain a log of prospective student inquiries and conduct follow-up.
· Maintain recruitment calendar and assist in the development of recruitment and resource materials.
· Coordinate revisions of Admissions forms, letters, and website content as needed.
· Provide additional support to the Director of Admissions and/or Associate Dean of Admissions.
· Perform additional tasks as assigned.
· As a salaried employee, some weekend and evening work is required.

It is MSM's Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are encouraged to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate's offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
