THE POSITION

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fiscal Management Specialist 2 to join our team in the Bureau of Bureau of Staff Services. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Under the supervision of the Assistant Fiscal Director, you will be responsible for the management, analysis, preparation, and control of various assigned appropriations for budgetary and fiscal activities. This will include managing the collection, examination, analysis, and budgetary control for Law Enforcement Information Technology (LEIT), Automated Fingerprint Identification (AFIS), Gaming, and Auto Theft and Insurance Fraud Investigation (Auto Theft). Your duties will include developing and presenting program status reports for use by the fiscal director, agency program directors, and the Comptroller's office, as well as preparing and submitting templates for various departments.
To improve fiscal management, you will be tasked with analyzing business processes, developing project objectives, and recommending implementation strategies. You will also be responsible for preparing limited fiscal data and personnel projections for use in budgetary evaluations. When funding issues arise, you will provide management with suggestions for resolving them. Furthermore, you will utilize SAP management software to process budget and expenditure adjustments, identify transactional errors, and make corrections. You will also be expected to review and approve shopping carts and requisitions from your assigned program areas.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
You may need to occasionally travel overnight.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
One year of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
