Summary You will serve as a Equal Employment Specialist in the FLT EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES PRG of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND. Responsibilities You will research and interpret local instructions and procedures in accordance with the latest regulations and guidelines. You will work within one of the following Special Emphasis Programs (SEP). You will prepare program information such as newsletters and EEO updates, necessary to publicize SEP events and national observances. You will serve as an EEO advisor on a variety of committees. You will brief EEO representatives and advises panels on affirmative action and EEO programs requirements. You will be responsible for carrying out Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and communicating support of these policies to subordinates. You will provide guidance and instructions to other EEO specialists who are less experienced and assists with complex cases and issues. You will administer informal Equal Employment Opportunity complaint program for assigned activities. You will conduct a review of pertinent information Employment Act, Rehabilitation Act, and/or the Generic Information, on cases that complainant requests fact-finding instead of ADR You will analyze complaints and determines if allegations are timely and within. the purview of EEO regulations. You will provide advice and assistance to management, supervisors, representatives, employees and applicants to ensure workplace policies and procedures are established and carried out in accordance with existing case laws and regulations. You will conduct annual, required, or· requested training or briefings for employees and management in the Prevention of Discriminatory harassment, Discrimination Complaints System, EEO Program Management, and the Model EEO Program. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience conducting training and creating training materials for EEO specialists Experience writing correspondence for upper level management. Experience conducting research and interpreting EEO guidelines. Experience writing reports and tracking spreadsheets independently. Experience utilizing online databases to track requirements. Experience utilizing conflict resolution skills.
