Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and Develop Operational Strategies: Design and implement process improvements and operational policies that support long-term business goals. This includes streamlining workflows, eliminating inefficiencies, and identifying growth opportunities.
Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate staff performance to build high-performing teams. Create an encouraging work environment through mentorship, positive reinforcement, and conflict resolution.
Problem-solving: identifying problems, analyzing root causes, developing creative solutions, and implementing changes that improve processes or outcomes to meet operational goals.
Financial and Budget Oversight: Control operational budgets, forecast expenses, analyze financial data, and implement cost-saving measures to maximize profitability. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, quality, and service.
Quality Control and Compliance: Ensure products and services meet quality standards by implementing inspections, audits, and continuous improvement programs. Maintain compliance with legal, safety, and industry regulations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with various departments and external partners, including suppliers and vendors, to ensure aligned objectives, seamless communication, and efficient supply chain management.
Risk Management and Reporting: Identify potential bottlenecks or operational risks, propose mitigations, prepare reports for senior leadership, and drive initiatives for operational excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree or 4+ equivalent experience.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in Heavy Industry, Electric Generation, Combined Cycle or a related field is necessary, with a proven track record of improving processes and managing teams.
24-7 operations at times requires availability at night, on weekends, holidays, etc.
Leadership and People Management: Ability to inspire, guide, and coordinate teams effectively while fostering collaboration and accountability.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Capacity to analyze operational data, evaluate processes, and create innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
Strong Communication and Negotiation: Proficient in liaising between internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to facilitate clear understanding and agreement.
Financial Acumen: Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and interpreting key financial documents.
Organizational and Time Management: Skilled at managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license
Preferred (additional qualifications)
Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using operational software (i.e. Emerson Ovation and GE Mark VIe), data analysis tools, and SAP work and asset management system.

Salary Range*:
$110,200.00 - $165,300.00
*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience , as well as internal pay equity .
