Warehouse Manager - Wise Foods, Inc.

Responsibilities:

Assign and monitor work to Warehouse supervisors and union associates.

Design and implement work methods and procedures to increase productivity and improve service within an assigned department.

Ensure a safe work environment for all employees, by defining and enforcing safety measures.

Prepare and submit inventory reports.

Ensure team members within the warehouse are developed and accountable for achieving individual, team and warehouse goals.

Administrative Duties:

Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

Track inventory, scanned product with actual production and oversee Monthly inventory counts.

Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Develop and execute annual/quarterly service key performance indicators and objectives.

Compliance Duties:

Evaluate and write up performance letters, track attendance and vacations and assist with problem solving

Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.

Complete and follow up with HR on any near misses, accident reports, and behavioral problems; fill out work orders for maintenance.

Responsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations.

Management Duties:

Trains new union associates, places personnel in positions based on qualifications and in accordance to the union contract.

Directs the day-to-day activities of the warehouse. Such activities include shipping, receiving, sanitation, maintenance, inventory control, etc.

Implement and direct company policy and procedures, address and follow up on team suggestions for lean Manufacturing

Responsible for maintenance of warehouse equipment, providing both preventive maintenance programs and all necessary repairs. Ensures that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform the distribution functions.

Generates warehouse productivity reports, in regard to selection rates, receiving rates, and accounts for all labor hours, both direct and indirect. Adheres to budget requirements and works toward obtaining objectives and division goals.

MINIMALLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES have the following required skills and experience:

A High School Diploma is required.

Have worked in a food manufacturing facility for at least a year.

Possess basic Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, EMP, FMLA, ADA.

IDEAL CANDIDATES also have the following skills and experiences:

At least 10 years' experience supervising people in a warehouse facility.

2 years of Microsoft Office

Experience with employee relations issues and discipline process.

Implemented production and/or quality control improvements on food manufacturing facilities.

Has worked with certifications or audits from OSHA, FDA, EMP.

Has worked with FMLA and ADA cases in a manufacturing facility.

Prior experience managing a unionized workforce.
