Summary The position is a Supervisory Health Systems Specialist Group Practice Manager providing administrative support through the Office of the Chief of Staff to the Primary Care Service in the areas of financial management, clinical operations, and health systems management. The position provides input in the most complex management deliberations and decisions by conducting various data reviews and analyses, performing data interpretation and developing recommendations. Responsibilities The major duties of this position include but are not limited to: Serve as the administrative supervisor for the Primary Care Service engaged in clinic access and data analytics. Will function independently by applying the broad guidelines provided by the incumbent's supervisor. Use Advanced Principles and Strategies for Access Improvement to review and provide guidance to Clinical Leads (CLs). Review and provide guidance to identify strategies to reduce backlog. Oversee and monitor existing or emerging workflow issues. Oversee and monitor consult management issues and provide guidance to CLs and Administrative Leads (ALs) when required. Exercises supervisory authorities and responsibilities involving work assignment and review, as well as the administrative and personnel management functions relative to the staff, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee ePerformance performance management systems. Provides leadership in reviewing and evaluating proposed policies and procedures for the areas within the Primary Care Service, and also provides input into those policies proposed by the Primary Care administrative sections. The incumbent works closely with the Primary Care Service Chief, DCOS and COS on Physician Productivity data, analyzing and making recommendations for staff and clinic utilization effectiveness. Incumbent participates in the development and implementation of both long- and short-term policies and plans for the health care delivery system, giving special consideration to the integration of internal administrative and clinical policies, to the standards and requirements of various regulatory and accrediting bodies, and to the impact of internal policies on outside entities such as other area hospitals and the community at large.
