Job Description:

Parsons seeks a Construction Manager to support a team of professionals working towards the completion of a portfolio of both renovation and new construction projects. This individual will support a wide range of planning, programming and Federal funding efforts as well as the entire lifecycle of acquisition, design, construction, commissioning, fit-up, tenant occupancy and ownership related assignments. The successful candidate should be able to assist in analysis of technical issues, review of project documents and plans, development and analysis of facility requirements, development of pros and cons with defensible recommendations, and review of project schedules. The selected individual will assist the client in the overall planning, creation, execution, documentation, testing, integration, and oversight of facility delivery activities.

Responsibilities:

Assists with the establishment of the Construction Management Plan, Site Specific Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.

Inspection - The selected candidate will have experience in and will be expected to oversee inspectors on assigned projects.

Procurement - Prepare purchase requisitions and procure items necessary for the operation of the field office.

Establish procedures for the administration of all field vehicles and equipment; maintain necessary status logs and reports.

Supervise the work of subcontractors.

Coordinate the drafting of requisitions, subcontract scopes of work, amendments, and task orders.

Review and approve subcontractor safety plans and quality control plans.

Ensure the subcontract files are maintained with current insurance certificates and correspondence. Monitor subcontractor expenses versus budget. Prepare draft amendments.

Prepares and negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors.

Works to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work; advises the client and company management of any such changes.

Cost Engineering - Supervise the preparation of the client's monthly construction progress report and the client's contract status report.

Prepare WBS, budgets and forecasts.

Prepare quarterly construction management reports and coordinate meetings.

Supervise setup and accreditation of the onsite materials testing laboratory.

Safety - Establish safety and emergency procedures. Inspect the construction site as needed with the contractor's safety representative.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor's degree in CM, Engineering or construction related field or equivalent experience

15+ years of construction management experience with related projects

Prior experience in overseeing and managing the construction of major capital improvement projects

Working knowledge and proficiency with MS Office Suite of word processing and integrated software applications

Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph preferred. If not held, willingness to process for this level of clearance is required.

Salary Range: $128,700.00 - $231,700.00
