Job Summary:
Assist Warehouse Maintenance Supervisor in all aspects of warehouse maintenance to ensure all equipment is operationally effective and fully functional.
Essential Functions/Duties:
Assist Warehouse Maintenance Supervisor with disassembly of damaged and broken equipment so that it can be more easily repaired. Reassemble equipment after repair work has been successfully completed.
Assist Warehouse Maintenance Supervisor with troubleshooting equipment issues that cause operational inefficiencies. Correct problems to ensure proper and safe function of equipment at the highest level of effectiveness to ensure maximum readiness of site.
Receive deliveries of tools, equipment and supplies and transfer them to work stations or other areas as directed by seniors.
Hold or hand off tools, equipment and parts to workers who are actively working on maintenance or repairs.
Examine machinery to ensure that it is functioning properly and to check for defects in components or parts.
Move or position vehicles, physical structures and other equipment to ensure easy access for workers who will be troubleshooting, installing, assembling or disassembling them.
Use hand or power tools to disconnect, connect or adjust tubing, wiring and other equipment as needed.
Receive work orders and determine what parts, equipment and services are needed to perform necessary maintenance and repair work. Submit order requests for parts, equipment and services required of third parties in support of maintenance and repair work.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or two years' experience in similar field.
Knowledge of basic maintenance functions: basic mechanical, basic electric, painting, HVAC, minor physical structural repairs, and snow removal (if required by locale).
Valid Driver's License may be necessary for operating equipment at some sites.
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience working in general maintenance, plumbing or HVAC.

Must be able to work long hours, weekends and holidays when needed.
Frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Must be able to perform physical labor such as, routinely lifting up to 60 lbs., moving up to 250 pounds, climbing ladders, operate control panels and working with hand tools.
Adequate vision required, to include close visual confirmation of printed documents, have distance vision to safely and correctly identify objects and or markings, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus on subjects or objects at any safe working distance.

Work Environment:
Expected to operate in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Must be able to work overtime, long hours, weekends and holidays when needed.
