About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a RESF Investment Banking Associate. Real Estate Syndicated Finance (RESF) is part of the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) group within Wells Fargo Corporate & Investment Banking. RESF operates as an investment banking product group in Wells Fargo Securities responsible for the origination, structuring and distribution of debt for our CRE clients. We are part of a highly successful and well-established global team located in New York, Charlotte, San Francisco, and London that consistently ranks at/near the top of global league tables. This role would provide support to the US RESF team in executing the syndication strategy of CRE.
Working closely with CRE, we structure, underwrite and distribute loans throughout the capital stack to a diverse range of banks, insurers, pension funds, asset managers and debt funds globally. You will work on a broad range of financing @types such as acquisition, construction, event driven and take private financings, opining on the marketability of the underwritten loan and executing the distribution.
In this role, you will:
Conduct in-depth financial and market research to evaluate investment opportunities.
Analyze companies and client portfolios to support investment decisions.
Prepare detailed financial, comparables, and commercial analyses, including distribution risk probability assessments with credible recommendations.
Support senior bankers by responding to internal and external stakeholder queries in a timely and professional manner.
Assist in the development and fostering of relationships with lending institutions
Aid in the marketing and distribution of syndicated loan product to various bank, life company and private credit participants
Serve as a day-to-day operational contact for clients, engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Prepare marketing materials such as pitch books, confidential offering memoranda, and management presentations to support client conversations and execution efforts.
Produce reports, presentations, and analysis for both internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal teams including debt capital markets, sales and trading, and other partners to support pricing, distribution, and execution strategies.
Maintain and update databases of clients and loan transactions.
Upload deal information to external syndication platforms.
Conduct and present debt market research focused on the U.S. lending markets.
Identify and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client outcomes.
Apply independent judgment to resolve business challenges while developing expertise in relevant policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with peers and internal partners to share product knowledge, market intelligence, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Job Expectations:
Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
This position may require you to meet FINRA registration requirements, which states that Associated Persons (AP) cannot be subject to statutory disqualification, in addition to regulatory and compliance requirements, including successful completion of criminal and regulatory checks and disclosure reviews
Additional Compensation Details:
Base pay range: $175,000-$200,000
May be considered for an annual discretionary bonus

$138,500.00 - $287,600.00
