Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic team in North Canton, Ohio. Key Responsibilities:Billing and Invoicing: Accurately prepare and manage customer billing and invoicing processes to ensure timely and error-free transactions. Credit Application Evaluation: Review and approve credit applications in compliance with company policies and standards. Collections Oversight: Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments, coordinating effective collections activities. Payment Recording: Maintain accurate financial records by properly recording incoming payments. Bank Reconciliation: Perform thorough bank reconciliations to ensure the alignment of account balances. Accounts Payable Processing: Process accounts payable transactions with precision and ensure entries are posted promptly. Payment Execution: Conduct check runs, including wire transfers, ensuring payment accuracy and compliance. Cross-Training: Participate in cross-training initiatives to support accounting operations across multiple entities. Expense Report Review: Review and process employee expense reports while ensuring adherence to company policies. Journal Entries: Create and maintain journal entries to support accurate financial reporting processes. Qualifications:

Proven experience in accounting and financial operations. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies. Requirements - Associate's Degree in Accounting preferred, or a minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with team members.

Proven track record of meeting deadlines consistently in a fast-paced environment.

High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.

Familiarity with shipping documents is an advantage.

Capable of thriving in a small and dynamic department setting.
