As a Construction Project Manager, you will have the pivotal role of overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet the highest standards, are on budget, and are completed on time. Your work will include exciting projects around central Indiana, such as a Car Wash, Westin School Early Learning Center, and a $50 million Lifetime Club House with a Water Park.

Responsibilities

Lead, direct, and coordinate day-to-day management and construction activities of projects.

Ensure overall safety, direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects from the initial budget through project closeout.

Resolve day-to-day issues to ensure timely, safe, and profitable project completion.

Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying and exceeding client needs.

Manage project costs through ongoing evaluation of labor, material, and equipment.

Forecast and analyze construction costs, exposures, and profits until project completion.

Maintain good business relationships with owners, architects, and team members.

Make commitments to clients, architects, and subcontractors as needed for successful project completion.

Draft subcontracts and purchase orders in a timely manner.

Negotiate and execute owner and subcontractor change orders promptly.

Prepare and review project schedules to ensure adherence or necessary modifications.

Provide advice, guidance, leadership, and direction to all company members assigned to projects.

Plan and execute project meetings.

Establish job processes, approve pay applications, and negotiate subcontract change orders.

Utilize construction software, Procore.

Collaborate and work well with teams.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (preferred) with 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager or No Degree with 5+ years of Project Manager Experience.

Experience running 3-5 commercial projects simultaneously.

Metal Stud, Metal Framing, or steel construction experience for the majority of project experience.

Ability to manage multiple projects of $5 Million or more in budget and a large project of $20 million plus.

Working knowledge of current market conditions, including pricing conventions and trends.

Strong construction acumen.

Ability to read and analyze construction documents.

Knowledge of contracting, purchasing, construction means and methods.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

OSHA 30 Hour Certification (preferred).

Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.

Procore Experience.

K12/institutional construction experience.

Work Environment

The role requires you to be in the office five days per week, with biweekly onsite project meetings that involve short travel. We offer a relocation package that is tailored to your personal situation. PMs have an assistant PM or PE to assist with paperwork, allowing you to focus on enhancing the client experience. You will receive a truck reimbursement of $700 per month for vehicles six years or newer, or $350 for older vehicles, along with a $75 phone reimbursement. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $160000.00/hr.
