Construction Manager - Steel/Concrete Experience

Job Description

We are seeking a Construction Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects related to materials handling systems, including conveyor systems, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), racking, and other industrial infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Manage all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.

Lead and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely execution.

Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans. Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.

Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly.

Maintain accurate records including RFIs, change orders, progress reports, and punch lists.

Conduct inspections and ensure all work meets engineering specifications and regulatory requirements.

Essential Skills

5+ years of experience in heavy industrial, steel/concrete construction sites.

Experience with heavy industrial construction including steel structures and concrete.

Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Project.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Experience with schedules, cost estimates, and bid packages is preferred.

Familiarity with construction language and processes.

Work Environment

The position requires on-site work with some travel to construction sites.

The work involves overseeing industrial construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Powell, Ohio. (long-term, full-time employment)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
