Citizens Private Bank continues to grow and this expansion in the consumer loan portfolio requires new roles in first line risk management. The Private Bank Consumer Credit Risk and PM Lead position is a critical hire in the development of the Private Bank infrastructure to monitor, implement policies and establish processes for risk management. This person is responsible for end-to-end ownership of risk strategy & execution including credit losses. This leader will be responsible for oversight of credit results through strong thought leadership on policy creation and amendment based on solid analytical foundations, bank risk appetite and profitability informed by market and field sales feedback. This role partners with business leadership to navigate risk concerns and attain portfolio objectives. Accountable for leveraging the expertise of shared functions such as collections, governance, loss forecasting and risk systems to ensure the full needs of the business portfolio teams are met/exceeded.
Primary responsibilities include
Develop & lead portfolio credit risk strategy and execution and provide end-to-end portfolio risk management services contributing to financial results.
Lead staff in establishing risk management procedures and standards, developing risk management analyses and reports, developing approval procedures and guidelines on risk limits by @type of product and / or transaction, and in establishing management and administrative procedures to ensure adherence to policies.
Serve as a point of escalation for key issues or time sensitive decisions.
Leverage shared functions & centers of excellence to support portfolios ensuring soundness & implementation of credit and collections policies in partnership with shared collections function, Appropriate risk appetite for portfolios leveraging shared function expertise, governance & controls oversight and Successful execution of risk systems for business.
Manage new and existing contract negotiations, leveraging Sourcing teams.
Partner with Advanced Analytics COE on new tools, machine learning and alternate data.
Monitor emerging risks from changes in economic, regulatory, consumer, competitor or political environments and assess and address the potential impacts to the business.
Qualifications
7+ years in first line risk management with at least 3 of those years in leadership of process/policy design and development/execution of consumer lending risk strategy
Bachelors degree in Finance or related field required
Strong proficiency in the following areas is preferred: private bank industry insight, critical thinking, leadership, compliance management, credit portfolio management, risk management framework, learning agility, client-centricity, persistence and tenacity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and consistent follow up are preferred to contribute to strong collaborative partnerships with stakeholders.

Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $170,000 - $225,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
