D.R. Horton, Inc.is currently looking for anAccounts Payable Clerkfor our office located in Richardson with the DFW Central Division. The right candidate will perform basic Accounts Payable administrative functions, such as processing invoices, checking batches, coding, unstapling and scanning with a focus on teamwork. Ensure the timely completion of said functions and maintain a high standard of accuracy while performing them.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Enter invoices into computer and schedule for payment

Correspond with vendors respectfully regarding payments and invoice status or questions

Communicate with team members via email, phone call, etc... to investigate invoice questions/issues as they arise

Work as a team to ensure payments are input accurately

Perform invoice reconciliation

Code invoices and enter for payment

Run and review payment reports

Confirm receipt of checks, make copies, prepare for mailing

Deposit checks and input respective coding into the accounting system

Make bank deposits

Oversee maintenance and vendor insurance requirements and set-up

Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and ensure timely follow up and payment

Research all bills to verify that the Company owned property and/or the work was performed at the time of said bill, ensuring all information is accurate

Research past-due invoices

Must be able to work in office full time Monday - Friday

Be a team player, complete additional duties as assigned throughout the accounting department and other departments as needed

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Reliable transportation

Punctual with strong time management and prioritization skills

Ability to accurately and quickly process and input a large volume of numerical data

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications

Proficiency with MS Office and email

Preferred Qualifications

Six months to one year of related experience and/or training

Experience with ten key typing

Knowledge of general accounting functions

Experience with data entry
