Position Summary
The Senior Sponsorship & Partnerships Marketing Manager will lead the strategy, development, and execution of high-impact sponsorship and partnership marketing initiatives that strengthen Guardian's brand presence and drive business growth. This role will oversee end-to-end sponsorship activations-spanning sports, entertainment, community, and industry partnerships-ensuring they deliver measurable value, align with enterprise priorities, and enhance stakeholder engagement across both B2B and B2C markets. You will report to the Head of Brand, Sponsorships and Integrated Marketing Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
Develop and refine Guardian's sponsorship strategy to maximize brand visibility, equity, and ROI.
Identify and evaluate potential sponsorship opportunities and partnership investments that align with enterprise marketing goals.
Lead annual planning and budget management for all sponsorship programs.
Sponsorship Activation
Oversee integrated marketing campaigns that bring sponsorships to life across digital, social, experiential, PR, and content channels.
Collaborate across our internal agency to design and execute best-in-class activations that deliver measurable impact.
Partner with the events team to ensure sponsorship properties are leveraged effectively across sales, distribution, and client engagement touchpoints.
Partnership Management
Serve as the primary relationship manager with major sponsorship partners and vendors.
Negotiate contracts, manage rights and benefits, and ensure compliance with partnership agreements.
Drive co-marketing opportunities with partners to expand Guardian's reach and impact.
Measurement & Reporting
Define KPIs and measurement frameworks to assess sponsorship performance.
Partner with our marketing measurement team to deliver regular reporting to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
Leverage data-driven analysis to improve sponsorship selection and activation strategies.
Leadership & Collaboration
Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to integrated marketing team members.
Partner cross-functionally with enterprise brand, communications, sales, and digital teams to integrate sponsorship efforts into broader marketing initiatives.
Act as a senior voice in representing sponsorships within executive and cross-functional forums.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; MBA preferred.
7+ years of experience in sponsorship marketing, partnership management, or brand marketing, ideally in financial services or related industries.
Proven track record of developing and executing high-impact sponsorship strategies with measurable business results.
Strong negotiation, relationship management, and contract management skills.
Expertise in integrated marketing, including digital, social, and experiential activations.
Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Strong analytical mindset with experience in performance measurement and ROI analysis.
Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

This office is hybrid with 3 days a week in our Hudson Yards NY location
Salary Range:
$101,180.00 - $166,220.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
