Eaton's ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Plant Finance Manager. This role is onsite at our Washington, PA stamping operation. Relocation is not provided for this position.
Washington, PA is the home of the Eaton Crouse-Hinds commercial outlet box facility which manufactures steel boxes, covers, and prefabricated electrical assemblies. The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you'll do:
Provide plant leadership teams with meaningful information and analysis regarding manufacturing operations and products to drive improvements and support meeting our financial commitments. Manage and assist with the daily functions related to financial reporting for the Meadowlands, PA manufacturing site. Specific functions include variance analysis, forecasting, month end close oversight, financial reporting, department budgeting and capital appropriation request preparation and forecasting. Work closely with the Plant Controller and cross-functional team (shared services and other departments involved in building the financials) to drive process simplification and standardization.
In this role you will:
Analyze manufacturing spend, manufacturing variances, distribution spend, freight spend and other information (earned hours, paid hours, sourcing data, PPV, overhead allocations, etc.) at the plant level and cost center level. Provide Plant Manager and Plant Controller with results and recommendations that will support our financial commitments and drive improvements including weekly and monthly manufacturing variance forecasts and reports (cost productivity, flex productivity, CONC, etc.).
Prepare the labor and overhead portion of the profit plan for the plant. Responsible for standard cost accuracy for the site. Develop the cost center absorption rates during profit plan that align to the Division profit plan.
Serve as a business advisor to the Plant Manager and support achieving the High 5 Operations Metrics (CP%, FP%, DOH and CONC%)
Prepare CAR (capital appropriations requests). Work with the plant to develop capital spend forecast and track performance to forecast.
Perform internal audits of the annual physical inventories and prepare external requirements.
Support the calculation and validation of cost savings projects from VAVE, Sourcing, and Plant. Perform monthly review of Cost Out Database with Division Continuous Improvement Manager for accuracy
Conduct ongoing audit and analysis of account balances to ensure and maintain integrity of plant general ledger. Assess adequacy of reserves and overall financial reporting. Analysis and a deep understanding of areas such as E&O, GRIR, IB/OB Freight are required.
Working with the leadership teams at the site as a business partner to drive corporate initiatives such as OpA and EBS
Establish, Monitor, and maintain a system of internal controls that safeguards company assets and provides for integrity and propriety of financial transactions and activities. Work with corporate finance on various initiatives such as entity level control review, SOX documentation, internal audits, and tax audits. Ensure that all accounting policies, procedures, and schedules are adhered to.
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of accounting/finance experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience in Cost Accounting, financial planning and/or forecasting.
Experience working in other functions in a manufacturing environment (supply chain, marketing, engineering, etc.)
Experience with internal and external audits.
Experience with SAP.

Through this position, the candidate will gain a good understanding of plant operations. This position can progress into increased responsibility/new roles within the finance function, but also serve as a good foundation for mid-level positions in other functions
